A species of Flammulaster, Also known as Hedgehog Pholiota
Powder-scale pholiota grows on heavily decayed logs of hardwood trees and fruits in the fall. The spike-like granular structures on its cap give the mushroom its species name; erinaceellus is derived from the Latin word for hedgehog. Under a UV light, powder-scale pholiota can fluoresce bright orange.
