Description

Faerberia is a rare genus of fungi found in Europe and North America. It grows on decaying wood, particularly on fallen logs of coniferous trees. The fruiting bodies of faerberia are small and have a distinctive fan-like shape. This genus is known for its unique microscopic features, including specialized cells called cystidia, which are important for identification.
