Description

Eocronartium is a unique group of fungi known for their parasitic lifestyle and distinctive fruiting bodies. The most notable species within this genus is Eocronartium muscicola. This fungus forms club-shaped, gelatinous fruiting bodies on mosses, causing the formation of galls or abnormal growths on their hosts.
