Description

Dermateaceae is a family of cup fungi, so-named because of the cup-like shape of many species. Most of the species in this family are plant pathogens that parasitize and cause diseases in plants. There are also member species which are saprobes - drawing nutrition from decomposing plant and leaf litter.
