Description

Datroniella is a wood-decaying fungus group found on dead hardwood trees. It forms bracket-like fruiting bodies that are tough and leathery. The undersides of these brackets have a distinctive maze-like pattern of pores. Datroniella plays an important role in forest ecosystems by breaking down dead wood and recycling nutrients.
