Description
Daedalea features intricate, maze-like patterns on the underside of its fruiting bodies. These fungi are often found on decaying wood, contributing to the decomposition process in forests. The name 'daedalea' is derived from the Greek mythological character Daedalus, known for creating the Labyrinth, due to the fungi's similarly complex structures. Some species within this group are also known for their tough and woody texture.
