Description

Cyclomyces is a group of wood-decaying fungi known for their distinctive circular or semicircular fruiting bodies. These fungi often have concentric zones on their surface, resembling tree rings. They primarily grow on dead or dying hardwood trees in tropical and subtropical regions. Some species within this group can cause a white rot in wood, breaking down both cellulose and lignin components.
