Description
Coccocarpiaceae is a family of very hardy lichen-forming fungi that grow in some very inhospitable climates, like the cold boreal of the Northern Hemisphere and the deep south of the Southern Hemisphere. These lichens can be found on rocks and trees and are usually green or brown-colored, growing in a ruffled or raised shape.
