Description

The family of fungi known as gomphoid-phalloid clade was first identified in 1970 by the noted British botanist E.J.H. Corner, the University of Cambridge's Professor of Tropical Botany. These fungi all share a similar erect club-shaped appearance. This family is found in many temperate climates of the Northern Hemisphere.
