Description

Anthoporia is a group of wood-decaying fungi found primarily in Europe and North America. They typically grow on dead hardwood trees, causing a white rot. These fungi are characterized by their thin, resupinate fruiting bodies that often have a pinkish or reddish tinge. Some species in this group can persist on decaying wood for many years, gradually breaking down the lignin and cellulose.
