Though the yellow blusher is fairly easy to identify thanks to its bright yellow cap, be aware that the colour can be washed out by the rain. It is very similar to the Blusher amanita (Amanita rubescens), but the yellow blusher has yellow warts, unlike the Blusher whose yellow warts fade to pale tan.
