Description
Absconditella lichen is a group of tiny, inconspicuous lichens. They often grow on decaying wood or bark in damp, shaded forest environments. Their fruiting bodies are typically less than 0.5 mm (0.02 in) in diameter, making them challenging to spot without magnification. Some species in this group have a unique preference for growing on resin exudates from trees.
