Description

Leucogyrophana er en unik gruppe sopp kjent for sin slående lys til knall gule eller oransje farge. Disse soppene trives vanligvis på råtnende trevirke, og bidrar til nedbrytning og resirkulering av skogsmaterialer. Noen arter innenfor denne gruppen har et karakteristisk, nesten fluffy utseende på grunn av sin ullaktige overflate. Funnet hovedsakelig i tempererte regioner, spiller leucogyrophana en viktig rolle i næringssyklusen innen skogøkosystemer.
