Description

Erioderma er en sjelden gruppe lav kjent for sitt unike utseende og følsomhet overfor luftforurensning. De vokser vanligvis på trestammer i kjølige, fuktige skoger. Noen arter i denne gruppen regnes som truet på grunn av tap av habitat. Erioderma lav spiller en viktig rolle i skogøkosystemer ved å fikse nitrogen og gi mat til forskjellige dyr.
