Fruiting body large; large, round, or pear-shaped.
Flesh
Flesh firm and whitish when young, becoming powdery and yellowish to brownish purple in age. Odour and taste not distinctive.
Habit & Habitat
The species is saprobic; it grows singly or in small groups and clusters, and can be found in pastures, meadows, lawns, fields, forest edges, and occasionally in open forests. Spore print purple.
