Description

Rosellinia trives i forskellige miljøer og danner ofte en symbiotisk forbindelse med planterødder, hvilket gavner både svampen og planten. De genkendes let på deres mørke, ofte fløjlsagtige udseende og kan findes på rådnet træ eller planterester. Mens nogle arter inden for rosellinia er kendt for at forårsage plantesygdomme, er deres rolle i nedbrydningen af organisk materiale vigtig for næringsstofrecirkulationen i skovøkosystemer.
