Pseudocyphellaria er en fascinerende gruppe laver kendt for deres symbiotiske forhold mellem svampe og alger. De har ofte et karakteristisk, plettet udseende på grund af små porer på deres overflade. Disse laver findes normalt i fugtige, skyggefulde omgivelser og spiller en vigtig rolle i deres økosystemer ved at tilføre næringsstoffer til jorden og tjene som bioindikatorer for luftkvalitet.
