Description

Gelatoporia er en fascinerende gruppe af svampe kendt for deres porede, skorpe-lignende frugtlegemer. Som hvid-råd svampe specialiserer de sig i at nedbryde lignin, et sejt organisk polymer, der findes i plantecellevægge, hvilket gør det muligt for dem at nedbryde både lignin og cellulose i træ.
