Description

Dendrocollybia vokser ofte på rådnet træ og er kendt for deres karakteristiske, forgrenede frugtlegemer. Disse svampe er specialister i at nedbryde træ og genindføre næringsstoffer i økosystemet. En særlig interessant kendsgerning er, at nogle arter inden for denne gruppe kan trives i habitater, der er udfordrende for andre svampe, såsom høj-alpine eller subalpine miljøer.
