Description

Cryptothecia er en gruppe af skorpeformede laver kendt for deres unikke udseende. De danner tynde, malerlignende skorper på træbark, klipper og blade i tropiske og subtropiske områder. Disse laver har ofte en pulveragtig eller granulær tekstur og kan fremvise forskellige farver, herunder hvid, grå og pink. Nogle arter i denne gruppe er i stand til at producere levende pigmenter, der skiller sig ud mod deres underlag.
