The pancake-shaped cap of the trametes cubensis grows in concentric discs from dead bark of hardwood trees. It is rare to see a single fruit body any larger than 20 cm across. They may occur singly or grow in clusters. This species is in the same family as the popular Turkey Tail Mushroom.
