The bright red dove ring (Russula laeta syn. R. borealis, R. querceti) is a fungus of the family of the Täublingsverwandten (Russulaceae). It is characterized by cinnabar to geranium red colors on the border of the hive, such as the sharp honey dove ring (R. veternosa), as well as an orange-pink to dark red tinted hat center.
