The fruiting body is flat bowl to key-shaped. He is undisturbed and has grown at the base point. Its diameter is 1 to 2.5 millimeters. It is usually pale gray in color, when drying it is a little lighter. The outside fine-grained and the same color to slightly brownish. The spores measure 6.5 to 9 (rarely to 13) x 2 to 3 microns. They are hyaline, elliptic-oblong, slightly curved and smooth. The asci measure 40 to 65 x 4 to 5.5 microns and are cylindrical. The paraphyses have a diameter of 2.5 to 4 microns and are cylindrical. They have deep-seated septa.
