Description
Flowery blewit can be found in beech woodlands throughout southern England. The mushroom owes part of its name, "flowery," to its scent, which is reminiscent of iris and violets. Its scientific name, lepista, is Latin for goblet. This name is explained by the fact that the cap of a mature specimen can become concave.
