The red-brown or Umberbraune bristle disc (Hymenochaete rubiginosa) is a mushroom species of the family of bristle-tree relatives (Hymenochaetaceae). It produces umberbrown, hat-shaped Fruchtkörper all year round, which grow under preferentially on the bark of oaks (Quercus spp.). Its range includes the meridional to temperate Holarctic and New Zealand.
