Blushing webcap not only has a symbiotic relationship with birches and Scots pine but it has been observed as also having one with the Common Rockrose. Juvenile blushing webcap feel slimy to the touch and develop scales as they mature. Although the flesh is purple, if bruised or cut, it turns blood red. It has a fruity scent.
